2026-10-28 19:40:40 +00:00 | 0 commits to main since this releaseClaude orange for extra usage and extra usage in the panel.
- Claude's terracotta for extra usage. The balance, the 24h/12h/4h/1h spend and the activity-graph segments on the green quota bars now share Claude's terracotta (#d97757, with a coral top on dark popups) instead of the blue. It keeps clear of the yellow warning and pink critical colors and, being darker than the green, keeps the two bar colors apart also for red-green colour vision; light themes deepen it until it reads.
- Extra usage in the panel (switch). Show extra usage in the panel (off by default) adds the purchased credits left as one more compact panel value, like chatgpt-usage's AIC credits: the currency above the amount, whole units from 100 on,
--while the balance cannot be read, nothing while extra usage is off. The panel tooltip adds the extra usage row and a binding monthly limit. - "Extra usage: off" stays one row, also when a monthly limit is still reported.

v1.1.0 — Claude Usage Monitor
StableAll checks were successfulChecks / Functional checks (push) Successful in 40sreleased this
2026-10-28 17:20:04 +00:00 | 2 commits to main since this releaseThree fixes from the owner's own panel.
- Model weeks in the panel. Show model-specific limits in the panel now adds each model week, such as Fable, as a panel item of its own next to the 5h and 7d values, marked by the model's letter. It used to merge them by duration, so it only swapped the 7d value between the all-models week and Fable.
- Extra usage shows the purchased credits left. The amount claude.ai lists under purchased credits, read from the organization's prepaid credits (the request Claude Code itself sends). 1.0.3 showed the monthly spend limit minus the spent amount ("$40 left" beside $10 of purchased credits). The monthly limit gets a row of its own only while it ends spending first; a reached limit reads
$0.00 left, out of credits reads$0.00 leftinstead ofoff. - Extra usage in the family's credit style. One blue for the balance, the 24h/12h/4h/1h spend and the graph segments on top of the green quota bars, readable on light themes too.
- "Extra usage:" stays whole. The row's font fit no longer keeps a growth step that overflows at a font hinting threshold (the label used to shrink to "Extra us…").
- Tests run under a network guard; a baselined mutation run over the change ends 42/42.

v1.0.3 — Claude Usage Monitor
StableAll checks were successfulChecks / Functional checks (push) Successful in 35sreleased this
2026-10-27 13:32:21 +00:00 | 8 commits to main since this releaseLighter inside, the same on the outside.
- Internal cleanup: the history submenu path that no build has filled since 0.1.0 is gone. That covers the restore loop around rebuilds, the leaf width logic, a never-called inset sync and the capture script's leaf openers.
- No visible change: the popup looks and behaves exactly like 1.0.2, and a source check keeps the dead path from coming back.
Validation (receipt):
- an independent review ("ship it") that verified the cleanup changes nothing visible;
- 96 Python tests and 14 CJS suites;
- isolated captures of the popup and the history view;
- a live install on Cinnamon 6.6.9.

StableAll checks were successfulChecks / Functional checks (push) Successful in 33sreleased this
2026-10-27 12:58:07 +00:00 | 10 commits to main since this releaseModel weeks stay open — KISS.
- Nothing to fold any more: model weeks such as Fable sit in the popup like the account limits. They are always open under their own heading, with the ring and the reset countdown right there.
- One setting less: "Keep model sections expanded" is gone along with the folding, and Cinnamon drops the stored value on its own.
- Screenshots: the README captures are fresh, and the model-visibility capture check works again.
Validation (receipt):
- an independent review ("ship it"), with its findings fixed;
- a mutation check that caught 9 of 9 mutants;
- 96 Python tests and 14 CJS suites;
- the model-visibility QA in an isolated Cinnamon;
- a live install on Cinnamon 6.6.9.

v1.0.1 — Claude Usage Monitor
StableAll checks were successfulChecks / Functional checks (push) Successful in 36sreleased this
2026-10-27 11:24:17 +00:00 | 13 commits to main since this releaseThe applet stays under the usage endpoint's rate limit.
- 2-minute minimum: the refresh interval starts at 2 minutes. At a one-minute pace the usage endpoint rejected about every second request (HTTP 429). A stored shorter value now refreshes every 2 minutes.
- No harm from refresh spam: the helper asks the endpoint at most once every 110 seconds per access token, counted between send times, so the regular refreshes always get through. Refresh now, a reload or a setting change in between gets the endpoint's last answer again:
- after a success, the same snapshot, with no new history sample;
- after a failure (HTTP 429, 5xx, an unreadable or empty answer), the same error, shown with the last good state;
- after a rejected token, the next sign-in source, without sending the rejected token again.
- Private state: the answers live in
recent-answers.json(mode 0600, truncated token fingerprints, at most 110 seconds old).last-snapshot.jsonkeeps its 1.0.0 format.
Validation (receipt):
- three independent review rounds, with all findings fixed;
- a mutation check that caught 18 of 18 mutants;
- the full suite run with the clock shifted up to one year ahead;
- 96 Python tests and 14 CJS suites;
- a live install on Cinnamon 6.6.9.

v1.0.0 — Claude Usage Monitor
StableAll checks were successfulChecks / Functional checks (push) Successful in 38sreleased this
2026-10-27 02:53:47 +00:00 | 15 commits to main since this releaseFirst stable release: the popup stays filled when the endpoint is busy.
- After a reload: when the usage endpoint is busy or unreachable (HTTP 429, 5xx, network errors, cut-off replies), the popup no longer stays empty. It shows the same login's last good state, until the endpoint answers again. That state:
- was taken within the last two hours;
- keeps its original "Updated" time;
- comes with the error line.
- While running: the applet keeps its own snapshot during an outage, as before. A replay never rewrites the local history.
- The saved snapshot:
last-snapshot.json(mode 0600) holds usage numbers only. It is keyed to a truncated fingerprint of the access token and deleted when that token is rejected. - Broken replies: cut-off or garbled endpoint replies count as endpoint failures instead of crashing the helper. A bad profile read no longer fails an otherwise good refresh.
- What 1.0.0 builds on: the 0.1 line, which brought plan usage with sign-in reuse, model weeks such as Fable, opt-in login renewal and sign-in from the popup.
Validation (receipt):
- three independent review rounds, with all findings fixed;
- a mutation check that caught 12 of 12 mutants;
- the full suite run with the clock shifted up to one year ahead;
- 83 Python tests and 14 CJS suites;
- a live install on Cinnamon 6.6.9.

2026-10-27 01:49:17 +00:00 | 17 commits to main since this releaseSign in to Claude Code straight from the popup.
- While no Claude Code login feeds the applet — no data at all, or only Claude Desktop's own samples — the footer offers a full-width Sign in to Claude Code button.
- One click runs
claude auth loginin your terminal (found onPATH, in user installs or in Claude Desktop's bundled copy). The window stays open only if the sign-in fails, so errors don't flash past; a double click opens one terminal. - The applet watches the Claude Code credentials file and refreshes about two seconds after the new login is stored — reset times and model weeks such as Fable appear without waiting for the next interval.
- A fresh sign-in replaces the logins the Claude Code CLI stores; expired logins can also renew automatically with the opt-in setting.
- The repository now carries agent instructions (
AGENTS.md) and Claude Code skills for the live sync and the laboratory release chain.
Validated by an independent review (all findings fixed), a mutation check (8/8 mutants caught), 71 Python tests and 14 CJS suites, isolated captures of the sign-in state and a live install on Cinnamon 6.6.9 (receipt).

v0.1.0 — Claude Usage Monitor
StableAll checks were successfulChecks / Functional checks (push) Successful in 31sreleased this
2026-10-27 01:00:13 +00:00 | 19 commits to main since this releaseThe third applet of the OSS Singularity usage family: your Claude plan usage, beautifully in view in the Cinnamon panel.
Highlights
- 5-hour session and all-models week as quota rings in the panel and popup, with live reset countdowns.
- Model weeks such as Fable (and Sonnet, Opus or any model- or surface-scoped week Claude reports) with their own section and an always-open 24-hour graph; extra usage shows what is left of the monthly cap and the 24h/12h/4h/1h spend.
- No setup: reads the Claude Code login (
~/.claude/.credentials.json) and calls Claude's read-only usage endpoint — the same request the Claude apps send. Optional masked token setting,CLAUDE_CODE_OAUTH_TOKENor~/.config/cinnamon-claude-usage/oauth-token; a rejected token falls through to the next source. - Claude Desktop fallback: without a usable token the applet still shows the session and weekly percentages Claude Desktop records for itself.
- Opt-in login renewal: Claude Code logins last 8 hours; the Renew the Claude Code login automatically switch lets Claude Code sign in again from the expired login's refresh token (a complete re-login, run detached with a lock and backoff).
- Careful by design: the applet never refreshes, writes or logs tokens itself; the setting reaches the helper through its environment, redirects are refused and error text is redacted.
- Launchers: Claude and Claude Code open Claude Desktop's deep links (or the web app / CLI), plus Refresh now and the Claude usage settings.
