    Steer #57: queued USER steers deliver at a deterministic ~3 s after the turn ends (SSE turn-end nudge + settle self-wake), human-first at every delivery boundary the observatory claims — a queued bell, however old, waits for the sweeper. Carries the two GGG validation folds (Tier-B bell-witness intent-acceptance made deliberate + doc-consistent; the FFF first-sight test race fixed) and the README delivery-lanes documentation with the cross-lane note for the dispatcher repo.

    Closes the launcher-exit finalize gap (steer B2-2): an observatory-spawned dispatcher that finished its work but died before the lifecycle ledger terminal stamp left an open row — the strip lied "💀 presumed dead" for ~50 min (live anchor d1791575251351-4075087). Sibling of CCC launcher-exit-0.

    New: a dispatch-ledger finalize reconciler (startup pass + 2 s poll, ZDO_RECONCILE=0 off) bounded to observatory-OWNED rows (out under the genesis/steer result namespaces). Two evidence tiers, never a guess: terminal result JSON closes the row with that status verbatim (live dispatcher keeps a 4 s settle window; seconds-bound); a provably dead pid closes completed ONLY on the completed-event bell witness, else failed. Never touched: terminal rows, live pids, pid-reuse rows without evidence, foreign rows. ledger_io discipline mirrored (flock sidecar, salvage read, re-check under lock, atomic replace, 200-cap); fail-open.

    Evidence: 31 new unit legs; Super-Linter green (6 lanes); hermetic E2E rig 7/7 legs (gap closes ≤1 s; anchor class closes completed on the bell witness; live pid untouched; pid-reuse stays open without evidence).

    The owner's ruling (Kommandozentrale Reloaded): unread is what the brain writes TO him — never machine-room traffic.

    • ONE owner-unread computation (marker-based, brain→owner words) derives every surface — header launcher total, launcher rows, row badges, dock badges, chat-line glow; the two old disagreeing approximations (tasks-index 10-min decay, steer-window set) are retired.
    • The header unread surfaces became LAUNCHERS (slim ● stat + expanded chip → one popover: name + count + preview; a row jumps and marks read).
    • Durable monotonic read markers (POST /api/read, view-advances, restart-safe, lazy first-sight init).
    • Cross-domain steers from another brain (non-obs ledger deliveries) count as owner-relevant; doorbells/todo/system never do (they stay calm in the transcript).
    • CCC-F1 fold: the steer state-machine test asserts the full (disk-status × receipt) product.

    Evidence: suite 824 green; G1/G2 API rig 19/19; G3/G4 CDP 15/15 @1177 + 4/4 narrow @500; Super-Linter green.

    Parked orphans older than the ceiling (default 24 h) dead-letter honestly instead of healing into live targets with obsolete prompts; residual queued copies swept. Bound found live minutes after v1.60.0 (a 43-entry weeks-deep backlog).

    The orphaned queued-busy steer (live 2026-10-09 05:18) heals: orphan liveness re-queues parked steers whose representation was lost, waiting counts see them (no leapfrog), the UI renders delivered ONLY from send-ack receipts, the send void dies (local-first instant echo), and the header keeps its loading geometry at the data swap (S-40/S-41).

    ZCode 3.14.5 overwrites pinned titles with first_input raw-prompt titles during the first turn. Every stamp-shape consumer now tolerates OLD / NEW(window) / NEITHER grammars — the ledger/evidence backbone classifies window-shape sessions (never invisible, never phantom-running). AAA-F1 fold: hermetic steer-spawn busy grace. Suite 804 green; Super-Linter green.

The brain brief gains the queue-peek clause (+ the /info peek fields pendingSteers/oldestSteerAgeMs), the turn-blocking wedge state composes N + the owner-waiting age on all three surfaces, every creator-kill queues a one-line [system] breadcrumb at the FIFO head via the normal queue machinery (journal-linked), and the brief opens with THE DANCE (two tracks, three seams, recursion verbatim) — README §How brains and owners dance carries the full model with the 2026-10-08 incident as the proof story.

    Micro patch. The v1.57.0 merge shipped the tilde fix + TT-V3 but SERVER_VERSION was never bumped — the live station ran new code mislabeled as v1.56.0.

    • SERVER_VERSION v1.56.0 → v1.57.1 (monotonic above the skewed tag; suite version pins aligned).
    • NEW version-skew guard: make check-version / tests/test_version_guard.py ties the constant to git truth — a tagged tree must carry its own tag, the constant may never fall below the highest tag, tag-less checkouts (CI depth-1) skip with a note. Rig-proven: the real v1.57.0 checkout fails it; v1.57.1 passes.
    • README release recipe + ROADMAP document the guard.

    Asset: make release-asset TAG=v1.57.1 (the pinned git-archive).

    Steer #51 (the tilde fix). A literal ~ in ZDO_GENESIS_ENV_FILE never sourced (bash -c never tilde-expands inside a quoted variable). The path is now expanduser-resolved at both the env read and the spawn argv funnel, so the genesis scope always sources the absolute path; absolute paths ride byte-identical. Proven by the tilde rig: the real spawn script runs through bash with a fake dispatcher recording its environment.

    TT-V3 (roadmap hygiene). The expanded header's refresh-rate select hides with the slim line at narrow widths; the ◷ slim popover now carries a refresh section whose options derive from that select and whose picks apply through one setRate — CDP-proven at the 500 px floor. TT-V1/V2/V4 documented in the README + dossier.

    Round TT (P2b + S-39 + UU-1/UU-2).

    • S-39: the genesis auto-worktree cut rides the ROLE — brain spawns get brain-named worktrees; a role change after the cut retires the stale home (refusal-laddered supersede, journaled).
    • The mobile deck (lane P2b): one-column row-cards, the slim header by default, 44px targets, the response panel as the primary surface — usable at 390–430px, desktop untouched.
    • Toast click-eater fixed (an expired toast kept swallowing clicks).
    • UU-1: the release asset is cut by make release-asset TAG=… — the pinned git-archive, byte-checked in-repo. This very asset was built by it.
    • UU-2: rename/NAME rails count 55 code points (emoji-safe).
