Steer #29: repo picks in the 🌱 wizard resolve themselves (/api/genesis/check auto mode cuts the worktree through the same rails; zero extra clicks; honest retryable failures; audit journal auto: true; the plain door stays deliberately explicit). Steer #30: worktree homes at ~/.zcode/tmp/<org>/<repo>/<slug>/ mirroring ~/git/<org>/<repo>/ + the one-law policy line in README/ROADMAP/guard texts. Steer #31: S-31 compact segmented role pair (336→155 px at 1177; model 220→401) + S-32 outside-click close with exact x-close semantics.

Gates: suite 454 green (+31 new), Super-Linter station recipe green (6 lanes), fake-HOME E2E rig ok:true (real spawns with context proof, fetched-tip branch, broken-remote retry leg, plain-door explicit, in-flight spawn survives close, geometry before/after, value memory).

Steer #29 (auto-redirect): a repo pick in the genesis wizard resolves
ITSELF — POST /api/genesis/check {cwd, role, auto: true} cuts the
worktree through the same genesis_create_home rails (fetched default
base or local fallback, oss-oo/genesis-<slug> branch, rate caps, audit
journal) and returns the resolved path; the form adopts it on
selection/blur with zero extra clicks, the review shows the target
(copyable, tagged), and failures surface inline with a retry
affordance. The plain door stays deliberately explicit (it changes cwd
semantics — no repo access); repo-less dangerous paths stay
confirm-only.

Steer #30 (placement law final form): worktree homes land at
~/.zcode/tmp/<org>/<repo>/<slug>/ — mirroring ~/git/<org>/<repo>/
exactly (same-named repos in different orgs never collide); other
repo paths fall back to their deepest two meaningful segments. The
redirect audit journal records auto-resolutions (auto: true). Guard
refusal texts, README and ROADMAP carry the org/repo form and the
one-law-for-all-born-sessions policy line.

Steer #31 (dialog polish): the role picker is a compact segmented
pair (S-31 — role field 336px to 155px at 1177, model column 220px to
401px; subtext + tooltips + arrow keys), and the dialog closes on an
outside click with exact x-close semantics (S-32 — value memory
preserved, no spawn from closing, an in-flight spawn unaffected).

Suite: 454 tests green (+31 in tests/test_auto_redirect.py: segment
derivation, auto ladder incl. honest 503/409/429 + retry, plain-door
asymmetry, rate caps, endpoint dispatch, dashboard wiring, node
harness over the extracted placement module). Fake-HOME E2E rig
green: real spawns with context proof, broken-remote retry leg,
geometry before/after, outside-click + value memory.
