Owner UI polish quintet + v1.28.0 validation follow-ups. Target v1.29.0.

U-1 — Header: ONE clean grouping

  • View/filter cluster under the title: window selector (show 24 h/3 d/7 d/all), 🧠 brains, 🧠↳ sub-brains toggles, the vpw indicator and the ⧉ ideal-window button — one 8 px gap rhythm, single line at the ideal width.
  • Feed controls (stamp, refresh, ↻, mute) right-aligned on top; status chips row (🧪 canary + ⏳ residency) beneath — read-only signals grouped, right-aligned to the header content edge.
  • Deviation (documented): the contract banner stays a full-width banner below the header — it is an expandable alert, not a header chip.

U-2/U-4 — Ideal width = 1177 px, ONE constant

  • IDEAL_W = 1177 in dashboard.html is the single definition point: vpw text + mint/red thresholds (ideal ±1 / ≤ IDEAL−2), popup width feature, snap math, button tooltips (built at init from the constant).
  • README section rewritten (anchor updated); all captions consistent; zero 1162/1195/1160 literals repo-wide (grep-proof).

U-3 — Popup snap authoritative

  • Fresh popup self-corrects 150 ms after open (covers the station-verified opener-width quirk).
  • Re-click re-snaps + focuses the popup from the opener; the button inside the popup snaps the popup itself (window-name recognition).
  • Glyph never double-marks a title already carrying it.

U-5 — Brain-role titles: glyphs instead of worktree prefix (display only)

  • Server-side pure functions (unit-tested 16 new cases): strip_worktree_prefix ("[🧠] · " + plain variant), brain_role_glyphs (⚡️🧠 masterbrain / 🍼🧠 sub-brain / 🧠 plain or de-differentiated / ⚡️🍼🧠 middle brain; flat + single-master de-differentiation keeps the root ⚡️🧠), attach_display_titles payload seam.
  • Dashboard displayTitle consumes s.display everywhere (tables, drawer, modal, steer target); tooltips, dock, ZCode sidebar, bells/digests keep the pinned title.

Validation follow-ups (v1.28.0, ACCEPT-WITH-FINDINGS)

  • FV-1 (required): provider-config rules memo keyed on the candidates' (mtime_ns, size) fingerprint — content rewrites apply on the next call, no process restart (tested incl. candidate disappearance → embedded fallback).
  • FV-2 (optional): README notes a login-imported manager PATH never includes ~/.local/bin — the unit's Environment= stays load-bearing.
  • FV-6 (yamllint cosmetics): parked, out of scope.

Evidence

  • Unit suite 100/100 (84 prior + 16 new).
  • Fixture CDP proofs (Xvfb real-window recipe, 47/47 green): G1 geometry at exactly 1177 and 1100 (clusters, gaps, no wrap/clip in every table incl. Hidden; per-row glyph/strip assertions for masterbrain sess_6a0aeeae, Brain-A, Brain-B, pinkies, non-dispatch); G3 popup snap (self-correct after pre-timer drift to 1500 → exactly 1177; re-click 1400→1177; in-popup 1300→1177; main exact + mint); G5 smoke (tables, usage graph, modal, steer console, drawer, deep link).
