Contribute
This page orients and links — it deliberately does not duplicate the authoritative documents. When this page and the repository disagree, the repository wins.
The authoritative starting points
- CONTRIBUTING.md — the source of truth for contributing: the ways to help (code and maintainership, operations, docs and community) and the ground rules (be kind; English in code, issues, and commits; crypto and machine-assisted code are explicitly welcome).
- The introduce-yourself thread — say hello, tell the laboratory what you like to build, and a starting point will be found together.
- AGENTS.md — the concrete contributor guide for agent-assisted work: the working agreements and the pull-request rules. Read it before an agent touches the code; agents contribute through the same pull-request pipeline as everyone else, with CI-gated merges.
Starting small
Small and finished beats big and hypothetical — the laboratory's own rule of thumb. The practical path:
- Register — open signup, no invite needed.
- Say hello in the introduce-yourself thread.
- Pick a task from the issue tracker or from the canonical plan; a short "I'll take this" comment avoids double work.
Pull requests follow one-topic-per-PR with green CI and squash merges — the details live in CONTRIBUTING.md.
Supporting the laboratory
The laboratory is volunteer-run and transparent about money. The funding home is donate.oss-oo.io — what donations cover is documented there.
